'Ooru Peru Bhairavakona' makers assure smooth release amid court petition

Distributor Vizag Satish alias Battula Suryanarayana has sought a stay on the release of 'Ooru Peru Bhairavakona'. He approached a Hyderabad City Civil Court in this regard, saying that the heads of Adventures International, AK Entertainments and producers Anil Sunkara and Garikapati Krishna Kishore "cheated" him in the past. This controversy pertains to Akhil Akkineni's 'Agent'. The said distributor tried to stall the release of 'Bholaa Shankar' as well. Anil Sunkara is associated with 'Agent', 'Bholaa Shankar' and the latest film, 'Ooru Peru..'.

Amidst reports about the petition to stall the release of Sundeep Kishan's film (slated to hit the screens on February 16), AK Entertainments today clarified that all issues related to the movie stand resolved. The court has said that the business will be taken up on April 12.With the next hearing months away, there is no obstacle for the release of 'Ooru Peru..'.

"The release is going to be smooth. Early premiere shows have received a blockbuster response. Wednesday's premieres alone gave a gross of Rs 1 Cr," the makers said.

Co-starring Varsha Bollamma, Ravi Shankar, Kavya Thapar, Viva Harsha and Vennela Kishore, the film's music is by Shekar Chandra.
