Sai Kumar as a domineering father in Nirup Bhandari's 'Sathya - Son of Harishchandra'

Versatile actor Sai Kumar has teamed up with Sandalwood actor Nirup Bhandari of 'Rangi Taranga' (Kannada) fame for a film named 'Sathya - Son of Harishchandra'. Backed by Ankket Cinemas, the film's first look is out.

Nirup Bhandari and the Dialogue King will be seen as an unconventional son-dad duo in the film. 'My father... My villain..' is seen on the poster. The tagline implies that Sai Kumar could be playing a dictatorial role in the outing. We see the seasoned actor seated on a chair with a grim expression on his face.

Shot in Thirthahalli and Channagiri, the film is both a comedy and a family drama also featuring Brinda Acharya, Ankita Amar, Swathi Gurudutt, MK Mata, and Chetan Durga. Produced by Ankit Sonigara for Ankket Cinemas, the Sachin Vaali directorial is co-produced by Prashant Mulage. With the cinematography done by Sandeep Valluri, the film's music is by Sachin Basrur. Editing is by Ujwal Chandra, while art direction is by Ullas Hydoor.

In recent years, Sai Kumar has acted in 'Gaalivaana' (web series streaming on Zee5), 'SR Kalyanamandapam', 'SIR' and the more recent 'RAM (Rapid Action Mission)'.
