'Ambajipeta Marriage Band' is both entertaining and intense: Suhas

'Ambajipeta Marriage Band' is slated to hit the screens on February 2. Its paid premiers on February 1, actor Suhas believes, will set the momentum for the opening day at the box-office. In his latest interview, the 'Colour Photo' actor says that his parents still don't find it believable that he has worked with Geetha Arts. 'AMB' is coming from the Geetha Arts stable and is produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni.

"The project fell into place because 'Care Of Kancharapalem' maker Venkatesh Maha took his friend Dushyanth Katikaneni (the director of this movie) to the Geetha Arts compound after he listened to the story of 'AMB'. The first half, up until the last 20 minutes, is dominated by entertainment. The mood transforms thereafter. I and my onscreen sister undergo an unsavoury experience on a special occasion. This results in a flurry of incidents that intensify the proceedings. The second half has been powered by Sekhar Chandra's situational songs that go with the flow. And the background music will find universal acceptance," Suhas says.

The actor, known for 'Writer Padmabhushan' and for playing a negative role in 'HIT 2', suggests that 'AMB' relies on the power of mouth talk. He is counting on the story, the emotions underlying it, and the performances.

Suhas rules out that 'AMB' is a social issue film tackling caste-based conflicts in a village. "The story involves ego battles. It is not about caste," Suhas, who plays a barber in the movie, adds.
