Actor Dhanush, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Rashmika Mandanna will be seen in a pan-Indian film directed by Sekhar Kammula. Produced on a lavish scale by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, the untitled film went on the floors on Wednesday. The project's elaborate pre-production works spanned a year.
In a statement, Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd said that the film is an "epic multi-starrer" whose crucial segments will be shot in the ongoing schedule. Incidentally, Dhanush and Nag had releases this Sankranthi ('Captain Miller' in Tamil is headlined by Dhanush, while 'Naa Saami Ranga' has been doing very well at the BO in Telugu).
"This is afirst-of-its-kind Kammula movie to be mounted on a large canvas. The movie is going to be solid in terms of technical aspects as well," the makers said. Niketh Bommi will crank the camera, while Ramakrishna Sabbani and Monika Nigotre take care of production design. The tentpole movie of Kammula will hit the screens in the second half of this year.
Dhanush's 'Captain Miller' will have its Telugu release on January 25.
