'Naa Saami Ranga': Nag praises fellow artists at success meet

Hours after 'Naa Saami Ranga' was released, Akkineni Nagarjuna participated in a 'Thank You' meet to thank the audience. The Sankranthi release has reportedly been on the surge show after show.

Speaking on the occasion, Nag said that he can't thank the team of artists and technicians enough. He described Keeravani's songs and background score as the source of energy that uplifted the drama. "Ashika Ranganath's performance in the scene where she places wads of currency on a table in a police station is my favourite. It's not easy to perform such a scene. You have to show attitude and arrogance. Ashika was spot-on," Nag added.

"Director Vijay Binni worked so hard that he had no time for his family. He could hardly sleep for 3-4 hours for months. He sent his family to Vizag and focused wholly on the film. This is not a small-scale film in terms of the number of characters. Vijay handled the scale with exemplary calmness on sets," Nag said.

"Allari Naresh was a wonderful co-star. He is as simple and pure-hearted as Anji, his character. The climax wouldn't have worked had it not been for his emotional performance. Raj Tarun worked so hard that he was exhausted. For that matter, everyone on set was suffering from fever in the last ten days due to incessant hard work," Nag said.

Cinematographer Dasaradhi Sivendra's craftsmanship also came in for special mention.
