'Naa Saami Ranga' is the perfect entertainer this Sankranthi: Nagarjuna

Akkineni Nagarjuna's 'Naa Saami Ranga', directed by choreographer Vijay Binni, hits the screens this January 14. Producer Srinivasaa Chitturi and his distributors have managed to secure 300 theatres (as revealed by Nag himself) in the Telugu States.

In his latest interview, Nag described 'Naa Saami Ranga' as a swiftly filmed project. "It took us 72 days to shoot, with my involvement spanning 60 days. Efficient pre-production is crucial for such swift work. Fortunately, we executed thorough pre-production for this film. Having a maestro like MM Keeravani as our music director was a stroke of luck. Three songs were ready before shooting commenced, and even the background music for the fight sequence was prepared in advance," the handsome actor, who has hosted Bigg Boss Telugu consecutively, says.

Nag adds that he was captivated by elements like friendship, love, sacrifice, and faith. "It's a wonderful narrative filled with human emotions," the 'Wild Dog' actor says.

"The story unfolds during the three days of Bhogi, Sankranti, and Kanuma, set against the backdrop of Sankranti Prabhala Teertham. As a festival close to our hearts, this film, set in the 80s, is a must-watch for the festive season," he says, talking about the merits of the movie.

Co-starring Ashika Ranganath, Allari Naresh, Raj Tarun and others, the film is a rare Sunday release.

After this, Nag will shoot for a film directed by Sekhar Kammula. Dhanush is its hero. He also takes delight in the fact that his film, 'The Ghost', has been a very good hit on OTT.
