Nobody can stall the release of 'Vyooham' on December 29: YCP Ministers, RGV

Ram Gopal Varma's political drama 'Vyooham' will hit the screens on December 29. The film's pre-release event was held on Saturday in Vijayawada.

Ministers Ambati Rambabu, Roja Selvamani and Jogi Ramesh, among others associated with the ruling YSRCP, graced the occasion.

The speakers slammed Nara Lokesh for trying to stall the release of the film in theatres by approaching a court. They also said that a Public Interest Litigation was filed. Director Ram Gopal Varma said that 'Vyooham' is the result of painstaking research and analyses. "My interest lies in political psychology. 'Vyooham' has real-life names like Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu Naidu," he said.

Doesn't it make 'Vyooham' a non-fiction? RGV didn't mince words when he said so. "Yes, this is not fiction. This is the truth as I know it," RGV said.

Producer Dasari Kiran Kumar said that the film shows events and incidents that happened behind the curtains. As such, nobody knows about them so far. "The span of the story is a decade. It starts with a tragedy (YSR's demise) and ends with a win (Jagan's oath-taking in 2019 as the CM of Andhra Pradesh)," he added.

While Manasa Radhakrishnan will be seen as Jaganmohan Reddy’s wife YS Bharathi, the film has a few other less-known artists such as Dhanunjay Prabhune, Surabhi Prabhavati, Rekha Nirosha, Vasu Inturi, Kota Jayaram, and Elina Tuteja. The cinematography is by Sujeesh Rajendran. Editing is by Manish Thakur.
