Prabhas' fans not shown dignity!

It is known that advance bookings for 'Salaar' have been completely offline so far in Hyderabad. The Prabhas-starrer will hit the screens on December 22. The advance bookings were opened at several theatres in the Nizam territory, especially in Hyderabad, on December 19.

The rush was expectedly huge. At a prominent cinema hall in Hyderabad, the queue was serpentine. Hundreds of fans gathered there. Expectedly, they lacked the discipline to stand in the queue. Policemen had been called in as a precautionary measure. A few constables resorted to lathi-charge to disrupt the indisciplined fans. In other locations, fans were reportedly made to stand in the queue for hours on end.

Mythri Movie Makers, which is distributing the Prashanth Neel directorial in Nizam, must have anticipated all this. Why did they opt for his archaic system of offline ticket sales? Don't the fans of Prabhas deserve even minimal dignity? "If there is one quality that unites all the fans of Indian movie stars, it is being selfless. Time and again, they have gone to extreme lengths to express their admiration. A little dignity is the minimum you can offer to reciprocate their immeasurable outpour of love," wrote film critic Ram Venkat Srikar.
