Those three film critics are illiterates: Sandeep Reddy Vanga

Sandeep Reddy Vanga has been upset with a set of film reviewers. His films have received largely positive reviews from the Hyderabad-based media. However, the Mumbai-based Bollywood media has not been fond of him. Some English-language critics from Mumbai feel that 'Kabir Singh' and 'Animal' are poisonous films.

In his latest interview, the 'Arjun Reddy' director named three prominent critics and described them as uneducated. "Anupama Chopra, Rajeev Masand and Sucharitya Tyagi are illiterate," the filmmaker said, adding that they don't consider the sound design, the editing, etc while reviewing his films.

"Those who bash my films left, right and centre want to interview me. Why would they want to? When Rajeev Masand, who hated 'Kabir Singh', wanted to interview me, I declined the offer. Anupama Chopra kept sending me messages for days on end seeking my interview. I didn't reply," Vanga said.

Vanga feels that he has been targeted by a section of film critics because of their "hatred". He clarified that the parting shot in 'Animal', where Ranbir Kapoor's character points towards his crotch, was not targeted at his critics. "It was a lead to the second part, 'Animal Park'," Vanga said.
