Media, audience shouldn't over-estimate Sandeep Vanga's abilities

Sandeep Reddy Vanga stepped into the film industry several years back, yet his cinematic filmography consists of just a single Telugu production and one Hindi film, the latter being a remake of the former. In essence, he has narrated only one story thus far.

Scheduled for release on December 1, Sandeep Reddy Vanga's second feature film, 'Animal,' has already garnered so much hype. Prior to its theatrical release and without awaiting its commercial performance, a segment of the media and a broad audience have been overly optimistic about his capabilities.

Sandeep Vanga has been asked when he will be collaborating with the likes of Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan. This is when Prabhas' 'Spirit', which was announced two years ago, is still a year away from going on the floors. And Vanga is yet to fulfill his commitment to Allu Arjun, a project announced months ago.

The media should stop behaving as though a contingent of superstars are dependent on Vanga. In these days of endless delays in completing movies, anything can happen six months later. We might see 'Spirit' not going to the floors in 2024 and Vanga teaming up with a Bollywood hero instead. And, above all, let's first wait for the audience's verdict on 'Animal'.
