It is known that Kamal Haasan's 234th movie will be directed by Mani Ratnam. On Monday, the creators of the movie announced that Dulquer Salmaan will be playing a key role in the untitled outing.
The 'King Of Kotha' star will be playing an energetic character in the movie. "His energy and fervour light up the screens! It is always OKK to work with (sic)," wrote Madras Talkies with an oblique reference to 'OK Kanmani', the 'Sita Ramam' actor's previous movie with auteur Mani Ratnam. This is Dulquer's first movie with Mani since 'OK Bangaram', the acclaimed romantic drama.
Dulquer, known for 'Mahanati', is extremely delighted. "A legendary reunion of the masters Mani Sir and Kamal Sir! A learning opportunity of a lifetime. So blessed and grateful to be a part of #KH234 (sic)," he wrote.
The film's title will be announced on Monday evening. The film's pre-production works have been on at a rapid pace. The music is by AR Rahman.
The Mani-Kamal movie will hit the screens in late 2024. Before this, 'Indian 2' is expected to be out in theatres.
