Gautham Menon's 'Dhruva Natchathiram' looks pretty outdated!

Imagine Gautham Menon, one of the most acclaimed directors of our generation, making an outdated action thriller. We are talking about 'Dhruva Natchathiram', which was originally launched in the year 2017. Buffetted by undue delays and financial problems, the film is finally set to arrive at the cinemas on November 24 after years and years of being in a state of limbo.

The film's trailer suggests that the story follows the events of the dastardly Mumbai 26/11 attacks of 2008. A spy team is formed with Vikram's character as the head. The characters move from one country to another.

In recent years, spy films from Bollywood and multiple spy series on OTT have completely transformed the audience's tastes. That's why Nikhil Siddhartha's recent 'SPY' tanked at the box office. Having burnt their fingers, Telugu distributors might not show any interest in Menon's latest film. It might see a simultaneous Telugu-Tamil release if there are no important releases in the last week of November. In any case, the film might not enjoy traction even in Tamil Nadu.

'Dhruva Natchathiram', co-starring Ritu Varma, Radhakrishnan Parthiban, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Simran, Vinayakan, and Divya Dharshini, has music by Harris Jayaraj.
