'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' is the title of Nani's 31st movie. Marking Dasara, a video titled 'Unchained' was released by DVV Entertainment.
Nani plays a commoner who becomes deadly and menacing every Saturday. He lets himself loose and unleashes the inner Lord Yama on that day. Sai Kumar's voice-over introduces him as a commoner who goes berserk every Saturday. Towards the end of the video, the dwellers of a colony are seen staring at someone in awe.
All this makes one conclude that director Vivek Athreya is telling the story of a homegrown super-hero. Already, movie buffs are referring to movies such as 'Minnal Murali' (Malayalam) and 'Maaveeran' (Tamil) in this context.
'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' stars Priyanka Arul Mohan as the heroine and SJ Suryah in a key role. With music by Jakes Bejoy and cinematography by Murali G, the film will hit the screens in the second half of 2024.
The Ram-Laxman duo, GM Sekhar, and Karthika Srinivas R are taking care of stunts, art direction and editing, respectively.
Nani's 'Hi Nanna', directed by Souryuv and starring Mrunal Thakur as the heroine, will hit the screens on December 7, 2023.
