We have already mentioned how there is a hiccup on the advance booking of the Sankranthi movies as the counters have not yet opened in multiplex. After snooping around, here is one reason which seems to be true. The big banner Mythri Movie Makers has started a new distribution office and it is heard that they are setting new terms of deal with multiplexes demanding they want the screens for one week.

It doesn’t work that way because one is never sure how a film works and how the response will be so giving the screens for one full week or ten days is not viable. That way, it is clear that Mythri does not know how to handle multiplexes. They are assuming that they can demand and get things done.

From their end, multiplexes have reportedly stated that Mythri can make up their mind and get back. If all this is true, as the time comes nearer, Mythri has no choice but to surrender to the terms and conditions of the multiplexes. Usually the ball is always in the court of multiplexes and they call the shots based on the performance of the films. As such, other movies are also coming apart from ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ and ‘Waltair Veerayya’ so they would not be blocking their screens just for these two. Given all these, maybe advance bookings will open one day before release.
