Unlike the small budget flicks which end up lying in the cans for years together, the story is completely opposite for projects which involve big stars. There is absolutely no delay and even the business is done beforehand. And with the OTT culture spreading, the speed of web series has also increased.
One such project which has been in the focus is ‘Rana Naidu’ featuring the towering hunk Daggubati Rana and victory Venkatesh. The expectations are high on this one since it has the real life uncle-nephew duo onscreen for the first time. This is touted to be a gangster web series commissioned by Netflix. While everything looks so good, the series has failed to see the light. This was scheduled to arrive during the last Dussehra.
Now, with Sankranthi also approaching, some are not sure why or what the delay is about. According to one inside source, the Netflix team is not satisfied with the quality of the series and hence they are trying to fix those gaps. Directed jointly by Suparn Varma and Karan Anshuman, this is a remake of the American TV crime series Ray Donovan. The coming days will give a clear picture on this.
