Sreenu Vaitla, a once-successful commercial director, has been struggling to deliver hits at the box office in recent years. Despite having a solid track record with several hits and one industry hit, his subsequent films, including Aagadu, Bruce Lee, Mister, and Amar Akbar Antony, failed to impress audiences. Moreover, his personal life troubles only added to his woes, leading to the cancellation of two projects even after completion.
However, Vaitla has now decided to move forward with a big hero, and he has cast struggling star Gopichand in his next film. The success of this film is crucial for Vaitla's career, as it needs to overcome all hurdles and become a solid hit at the box office.
Earlier, Vaitla had announced the title of the Dhee sequel, "Dhee & Dhee," which featured Vishnu Manchu and Faria Abdullah in the lead roles. However, the film was shelved after a couple of schedules of shooting. Later, he had started working on a project with a top producer's son, but that too got canceled before the first schedule.
It remains to be seen if Vaitla can deliver a hit with Gopichand in his next film and revive his career in Tollywood.
