At a time like this, one school in the US has taken a radical decision which seems to be actually working on the students.
Reports reveal that Buxton School based at Massachusetts has banned the usage of smartphones in its premises. It is applicable to the students as well as the faculty. The 114 acre campus is now free of smartphones. As a result, the senior faculty members are saying that this has brought in a phenomenal change among the students.
They state that interpersonal relations have become stronger, socializing has increased. They also add that the students are now showing a lot of interest in expressing their talent, thoughts and opinions through the route of arts.
Time comes to a standstill when there is no phone around but experts strongly believe this kind of digital detox is most necessary especially for the students who are getting more glued to the gadget than looking at ways and means to apply their brain and get into some real human connection.
