There are certain episodes in politics that one can never forget. One such example is that of the August 1995 episode in Telugu Desam Party. It was literally a coup against stalwart NTR to depose him in the context of Lakshmi Parvathy coming into his personal life. This backstabbing episode has left a permanent blackspot on Chandrababu Naidu. This is one mark which he has been unable to erase for a long time and continues to haunt him.
It is also known that Venkaiah Naidu is always a behind the scenes supporter and saviour of Chandrababu Naidu and this has been exposed many times. After a decade, again it was Venkaiah who stitched an alliance between BJP and TDP in Telangana and AP in the year 2014. After government formation in the centre and AP, more or less the Nellore native Venkaiah was the trouble-shooter who is also widely believed to be the reason for watering down the note for votes scam.
Even in the Rajya Sabha, YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy openly tore into their bond and said that Venkaiah is a BJP leader with TDP atma. But now for the first time something sensational has been revealed. Speaking about NTR at an event, Venkaiah Naidu stated that NTR is a very emotional person and he is very gullible and blindly trusts anyone.
He also added that he never realized that anyone close to him could suddenly harm him so much. Although he didn’t specifically mention the 1995 episode, Venkaiah clearly hinted that it was the soft nature of NTR that finally left him a disheartened person and led to his death.
It is known that NTR's health deteriorated and he passed away within six months of being forced away from the CM chair and the position of TDP chief. This has clearly surprised everyone who is aware that Nellore Naidu is always holding the back of Kuppam Naidu. One is not sure about the context but whatever Babu may justify, the fact of the matter is TDP belonged to NTR who was its founder. NTR fought many battles among people and the court, but eventually he had to face an ignominious exit. This let him down completely. This incident also highlights that truth cannot be hidden for a long time.
