The US President Joe Biden has officially stated the Covid-19 cases are again on an upward spiral across the country. Biden posted these comments on Twitter, at a time when the American families are planning for group holidays.
The White House is all set to resume a program which involves sending Covid-19 testing kits to American homes to be prepared for a potential winter surge. The American administration is observing that Covid cases are growing in most parts of the country after Thanksgiving.
The seven-day count of the weekly new Covid-19 cases, according to data released by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is now at a figure of more than 65,000 last week, which represents an increase of nearly 50 percent when compared to a week earlier
So far, the US has registered 99 million Covid-19 cases and more than 1.08 million deaths. Now apart from Covid-19, two other viruses namely the influenza and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) are infecting thousands in the US. Several US cities are once again urging the public to wear face masks when indoors.
