The installation of a statue of Ambedkar, who gave the constitution to India, in Hyderabad's Hussain Sagar, will not only add to the beauty of the city, but it is also the largest of its kind in the country. The statue will be unveiled on the 14th of this month, as it was considered to be a prestigious project by the KCR government.
An Ambedkar Memorial has already been constructed in 36 acres adjacent to NTR Gardens at Tank Bund. The statue, which is being constructed on a 2-acre area, will be accompanied by a museum and a meeting hall. The statue's facts are as follows:

The Immortal Sculptor!
The sculptor responsible for bringing the Ambedkar statue to life is Padma awardee Sthapathi Ranji Sutar. He is a famous sculptor from Maharashtra who designed the statue of Ambedkar with the help of his son.
Sutar's sculptural skills have been widely recognized and rewarded with many honors, including the Padma Shri in 1999, the Padma Bhushan in 2016 by the central government, and the Tagore Award in 2018 for his services in preserving the country's culture. Sutar was born on February 19, 1925, in a Vishwakarma family in Gonduru village in Dhule district of Maharashtra.
Sutar has brought to life many sculptures, both small and large, that are not only beautifully carved but also breathe life into the greats they depict. Among these sculptures is the world's largest statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, which stands tall at 182 meters (597 feet) in Kevadia Colony on the Narmada River in Gujarat. Sutar has also created statues of Mahatma Gandhi, which have been sent to many other countries. Additionally, Sutar designed the statue of Mahatma Gandhi sitting in the Indian Parliament and the 108 feet tall Kempe Gowda statue at the Bangalore International Airport.
