After transforming the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party into the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) had decided to hold the first public meeting of BRS in New Delhi. However, KCR has been unable to find time for this meeting, leading to delays in the plan. It appears that there has been a complete change in the plan for this event.
According to insiders, the first public meeting of the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party will now be held in Khammam. The meeting is scheduled to take place on the 18th of this month, and to make it a larger event, the Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), has decided to invite the Chief Ministers of three other states to attend.
Sources say, K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has invited the Chief Ministers of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan; Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal; and Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, as well as the Samajwadi Party leader, Akhilesh Yadav, to attend the first public meeting of the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party in Khammam on the 18th of this month. All of these leaders are known to oppose the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
KCR's intention in inviting these leaders is to display the opposition's unity and strength to the BJP and Modi. With the 2024 parliamentary elections in mind, KCR hopes to give the BJP a strong challenge at the national level with the BRS, but it will not be an easy battle as the BJP holds its tenacious grip in north India and is a formidable opponent in Telangana as well.
