After the ED custody was extended in the Delhi liquor policy scam, MLC Kavitha stated on Saturday, March 23, 2024 that it is an ‘illegal arrest’.
Speaking to the media while coming out of the court, MLC Kavitha told reporters, “ They are asking the same question that they have asked one year ago. There is nothing new. This is an illegal arrest. We will fight in court. It is a political case, a fabricated case, a false case. There is nothing new, they are asking the same things again and again.”
Kavitha was arrested in the Delhi Liquor scam on March 15, 2024. The Special PMLA Court, New Delhi has remanded her for ED custodial interrogation for Seven days till March 23, 2024. Further the custody has been extended for three more days till till 26 March 2024.
Meanwhile it is known that the enforcement directorate has also arrested the Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal on March 21, 2024 and filed a petition in the court requesting 10 day custody in connection with the Delhi liquor scam.
