The TPCC chief Revanth Reddy is currently busy with the 'Haath Se Haath Jodo' yatra in Telangana and he has been trying to do his best to lash out towards KCR and the BRS government. Lately, he seems to have picked up a new issue which he feels is going to bring a lot of mileage to the party. This is the Dharani portal and the way it has caused issues to people, especially the farmers.
Well, it is being said that due to the Dharani portal, a lot of farmers are going through a tough time as the process is not quite streamlined and there is a lot of confusion happening on registration. Taking a cue from that, Revanth is now going on strongly that once the Congress government comes to power, the first thing they will do is, they will scrap the whole Dharani portal and ensure justice is done to the farmers.
However, it appears that the political experts are not too amused by this. They are saying that this agenda will only backfire big time on Revanth. For starters, there are many Congress leaders who have benefited through Dharani and this is also one reason why none of them is opening his/her mouth about scrapping the portal. Also, what about all those registrations and entries of the farmers which have happened properly till now? How will they get fixed? So, it is not as simple as it is being said.
Incidentally, there are many who feel Dharani has done more good than bad. As per them, having an online presence and a digital certificate has given more credibility to the lands and due to this, transactions are happening smoothly. As for Revanth, the suggestion being given is, he should focus more on what Congress can do to the people of Telangana in terms of welfare schemes instead of removing what BRS has created.
