Telangana has carved a special place for itself in the history of modern India with the impressive strides it has been making right from its inception in the year 2014. The state is now among the firsts in India in many parameters of both development and welfare which is not a small feat.
The budget announced by finance minister Harish Rao today is indeed a milestone with record allocations made for double bed room houses and Dalit Bandhu scheme. Both have had allocations of more than 12000 crores and 17000 crores respectively.
The state government has prioritized massive welfare schemes in the election year and one major highlight is the assistance of the government by providing 3 lakhs for building houses for both urban and rural poor in case they already own land. If implemented, this could really fetch strong electoral dividends for the BRS party in the next assembly elections.
