'Covert BJP agent damaging Rahul Gandhi's image'

Sam Pitroda has been a trending topic on Wednesday. In an interview, he opined that it is time for inheritance tax to be introduced in India. He has since said that that is not the view of the Congress party. Even P Chidambaram and Jairam Ramesh have clarified that their party didn't talk about such a tax in its manifesto.

There is a theory that Sam Pitroda is actually a BJP mole in the Congress party. It is said that he deliberately makes damaging statements around election time. In 2019, he trivialized the anti-Sikh pogrom that shook Delhi after the passing of Indira Gandhi. This time, he is talking about inheritance tax and also that income tax must be increased. "The middle class people mustn't be selfish," he added recently. Both these statements have been used by the BJP IT cell to propagate the view that Congress is anti-middle class.

In fact, on Wednesday, Narendra Modi himself used Sam's utterances about inheritance tax at a political rally. BJP supporters are seen thanking "Agent Sam" on social media in a jest.

Sam is said to be a loyal Congressi who has been close to the Nehru-Gandhi family since the time of Rajiv Gandhi. It is unlikely that he is a BJP mole.
