Roadmap, this is one buzz word that is being heard often in AP’s political circles over the last few months. The politics in the state is all set to take some interesting turns very soon as the election season approaches much before the actual elections slated for 2024. This is because strategies will be created and knives will be sharpened by ruling and opposition parties.

Now, after rejuvenating the party cadre in Telangana and instilling in them the confidence that they are there to win in the next elections, the BJP leadership is now focused on Andhra Pradesh. In this regard, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is visiting the state on January 8th. He will be holding public meetings in Kurnool and Puttaparthi.

He is also expected to meet the state BJP leaders and give them a clear sense of direction regarding three capitals issues and alliances. This visit comes amid talk that Jagan might go for early polls to teach opposition parties a lesson. Hence, the visit of Amit Shah assumes significance. At the same time, Jana Sena followers too are equally curious about the outcome of the visit.

On paper, both BJP and Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena are alliance partners but hardly there is any coordination. Pawan has his heart towards TDP because he believes that to become an MLA by himself, he might need some support from TDP cadre. However, he is in confusion as BJP doesn’t want TDP while TDP wants Pawan to get BJP along with him into an alliance.

To make things look as if it’s a professional issue, Pawan Kalyan has been talking about a road map for many days, saying that he is waiting for this from the BJP while BJP doesn’t acknowledge anything of that sort. Many feel it is nothing but a green signal from BJP for an alliance with TDP, something Modi and Amit Shah are not that keen on.

There is a schism between pro-TDP and anti-TDP leaders in BJP and time is ticking for Pawan because TDP is piling pressure on him to bring BJP with him soon. So, the so-called road map which Pawan is asking may be finally given to him by BJP on January 8th when Shah visits Kurnool and Puttaparthi. At least, this is what Jana Sena followers believe could happen.
