Guntur Parliament: Rs 5000 Cr vs Jagan wave

The Guntur parliamentary segment has been an elusive nut for the YSR Congress outfit as the party lost the election here in 2014 and 19. But things are looking much closer in 2024.

The upcoming 2024 Loksabha Election for the Guntur Loksabha Constituency is drawing special attention as this constituency falls under the Amaravati capital region and holds a politically tense landscape.

The prominent leaders contesting for the Loksabha elections 2024 from the Guntur constituency are Kilari Venkata Rosaiah from Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and Pemmasani Chandrasekhar from Telugu Desham Party (TDP).

The electoral outcome of the Guntur Loksabha constituency is hugely influenced by Caste based politics and the decisions regarding Capital declaration. YSRCP has promised Amaravati to be a Legislative capital whereas the TDP alliance has promised Amaravati will be made as the only capital of the state.

Pemmasani has declared assets worth Rs 5000 crore and his election management should be on a similar degree. Withstanding this is going to be a tough task for Jagan Mohan Reddy and it has to be seen which way Guntur voters will go.
