Hindupur is one of the most talked about assembly segments in Andhra Pradesh as it has Nandamuri Balakrishna in the contest. More than Balakrishna’s own image, Hindupur is usually a conventional stronghold for the Telugu Desam Party.
Coming to the electoral trends, Hindupur is traditionally a one-way segment for TDP, as the party has never lost an election here since the formation of this assembly segment back in 1983.
With Nandamuri Balakrishna contesting from this constituency, he possesses all the necessary resources to secure victory. Known for his cinema charisma and financial strength, he has played a significant role in the development of Hindupur, earning positive voter feedback.
That being said, YSRCP candidate Deepika is putting all her strength to put up a fight. Being a BC community lady, she has the desired prospects going her way and is very well capable of causing an upset.
The need of the hour is a sheer show of strength by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy here which can give impetus to YSR Congress and could potentially swing the tide in the party’s favor.
