The Election Commission of India has permitted the live telecast of Sree Seetharamachandra Swamy Kalyanaostavam to be held in Badrachalam. The official permission was given by the EC on April 16, 2024 with conditions not to violate any model code of conduct.
In its official letter, EC noted, “In this regard, I am directed to state that the Commission has permitted the live telecast of the Sree Seetharamachandra Swamy Kalyanaostavam with condition that all the provisions of the Model Code of Conduct are followed and no political mileage is derived out of the live telecast.”
Earlier the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee senior vice president, Niranjan urged the Chief Election Commissioner to allow the live telecast as there are millions of devotees who follow it online.
