Protests erupted in West Godavari of Andhra Pradesh after Telugu Desam Party (TDP) high command decided to give the MLA ticket to Raghurama Krishnam Raju, and deny it to the sitting MLA Manthena Ramaraju. District TDP cadre started their protests on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
It is to be noted that Raghurama Krishnam Raju joined the TDP only yesterday and he managed to grab a seat from Undi constituency in the district. And this move is not all going well with the TDP cadre, who are fuming over the decision wondering how Chandrbabu could give ticket to someone else by denying it to the current MLA.
This is not the case alone; several such disturbances erupted in the Telugu Desam-Jana Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party alliance,y as seat sharing does not satisf everyone in the cadre.
