Pawan Kalyan has been allocated the Pithapuram MLA segment as a part of the ticket distribution and there is a widespread commotion that Nara Lokesh and Chandrababu were the ones who sent him there.
There is now a parallel talk that there is a hidden plan of Lokesh and Chandrababu behind sending Pawan to Pithapuram as this seat wasn't won by TDP in the last 30 years or so.
The last time TDP won this seat was in 1994. In 2014, SVSN Varma won as an independent and he later joined TDP, but he isn't a traditional TDP leader. Sending Pawan Kalyan to this highly risky seat is a clever move by Chandrababu and Lokesh, it appears.
Given the current scenario, Chandrababu himself winning from Kuppam is tough and Lokesh's chances in Mangalagiri have always been in question after the defeat in 2019.
In case both Chandrababu and Lokesh lose in the assembly election and Pawan Kalyan ends up winning as an MLA, it would be a huge humiliation for TDP ecosystem and hence the decision to send Pawan to Pithapuram, a segment that is not favorable for TDP and JSP anyways has no ecosystem there. SVSN Varma might cleverly work against Pawan internally upon the command from Chandrababu.
