An elderly person died in Andhra, as she steps out to take pension

While there is a restriction by the Election Commission of India on the Volunteers distributing pension, lives are being at stake in this hot summer. On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, an 80 year old person, Vajramma died in Penamaluru mandal of Krishna district as she stepped out to get her pension. Reportedly she died due to heat stroke.

While Minister Jogi Ramesh and Telugu Desam Party leader Bode Prasad visited the house of the victim, slogans started being raised against TDP for allegedly obstructing the flow of pension through volunteers. ‘Down down Chandrababu’ slogans started being made.

Earlier, an organisation, Citizen Forum for Democracy filed a petition with the ECI, which resulted in EC halting volunteers distributing the pensions. Meanwhile, YSRCP leaders are alleging that the CFD is a binami organisation for the Telugu Desam Party.
