SVSN Varma opened a huge rebellion when Pawan Kalyan announced that he is contesting from Pithapuram in the coming election as he said Pawan coming in the last minute and hijacking his seat is not a right practice.
However, Chandrababu swooped in later and settled the issue upon the mutual understanding that Pawan will contest here and Varma will anyway support him.
But according to the internal talk, SVSN Varma is silently working against Pawan Kalyan in Pithapuram. He knows full well that his prominence will go down drastically in Pithapuram if he works for Pawan's victory here. He and his family will forever be downtrodden in Pithapuram if Pawan wins here and that is not a price he will be willing to pay for Pawan's win.
In case Pawan loses, he will anyway leave Pithapuram like how he left Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka in the last election, so Varma can safely continue his political quests here.
So, Varma who is a very calculated man by nature is said to be silently working for Pawan's defeat here. He might have already asked his cadres to campaign against Pawan and not to polarize crowds for Pawan's meetings in Pithapuram. JSP anyway doesn't have an electioneering team so they will rely on Varma for the job. This is where Varma can play his cards and orchestrate Pawan's defeat.
