Missing NRI found dead in Texas

We recently informed you of the deaths of two Indian Americans in the US. While many are still processing the loss of those two young people, the discovery of the body of another Indian-American lady, 25, who had gone missing earlier this month from the US state of Texas has shocked the Indian community in the country.

Her body was found nearly 322 kilometres away, in the bordering state of Oklahoma.

According to reports, Lahari Pathivada, a resident of McKinney in Collins County, Texas, was last seen in the Dallas neighbourhood of El Dorado Parkway and Hardin Boulevard driving a black Toyota.

Through a local Texas organisation called WOW, word of her disappearance spread on social media.

On May 12, her family and friends approached the police since she did not return home. Meanwhile, her friends tracked her phone in Oklahoma.
Pathivada worked at the Overland Park Regional Medical Centre, according to her Facebook page. She attended the University of Kansas after completing her high school education at Blue Valley West.

Fear spread across Pathivada's family, friends, and the neighbourhood as a result of her terrible death, leading to laying emphasises on safety precautions to be taken by people and the requirement for stringent safety rules in these areas.
