You are going to hear the name Vivek Ramaswamy more often. "This year, there are two potential candidates in the US presidential elections 2024 who have roots in India – Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy," an Indian publication recently wrote. Vivek is a name not many in India have heard of thus far. This is changing slowly but surely.

Vivek Ramaswamy, 37, is an American entrepreneur who holds strong anti-Woke views. In short, he is against the Left and the Radical Left. he is against the Cultural Marxists and Post-Modernists.

An author, he is a Republican candidate for president of the US next year. His Twitter bio sounds bombastic for a politician: "Speaking Hard Truths. Courage is Contagious."

Well, does he really hold courageous opinions beyond his anti-Woke stances? He does. He wants to disband the FBI, for one. For another, he wants to put an end to all business between his country and its arch-rival, China.

As a Conservative, Vivek Ramaswamy prefers to reframe debates. "The real political divide in our country isn’t Republicans vs Democrats. It’s self-governance vs aristocracy. It’s pro-America vs anti-America," he once said in an attempt to influence fence-sitters.

This week, he is in the news over senior journalist Don Lemon being fired by CNN. As per a theory, an interview he conducted recently with Vivek Ramaswamy played a role in his firing. Hitting back, Vivek wrote, "The left hides from debate. We embrace it. Put me at the center of that debate stage: donate just $1 here and you will make a big difference."
