Fahadh Faasil, in his latest interview, chose Ranbir Kapoor as India's best actor. The versatile actor, known for 'Vikram', 'Maamannan' and the more recent 'Aavesham', among others, gave his opinion without qualifying it.
Not everyone is impressed with his choice. "You have worked with Kamal Hassan, Mohanlal, and Mammootty and you think Ranbir Kapoor is the best actor? (sic)," a movie buff wrote. "Add the word currently. His performance in 'Animal' was phenomenal. But there are better actors than him. Kamal, Mohanlal, Mammootty, and Aamir Khan to name a few. Even if this is based on current performances, Mammootty has been phenomenal recently in multiple movies," a Mollywood cinephile argued. On the other hand, Tamil and Telugu cine-goers started giving their preferences opposing Fahadh: They named Dhanush, Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu as actors who can out-compete Ranbir.
Ranbir's fans, on the other hand, contended that he is a generational talent. "He is like the Leonardo Dicaprio of Indian cinema. Every director, and actor admires him. Above you mentioned actors have 30+ years career in cinema. They acted in more than 100 films. Ranbir is 16 films old," a Netizen retorted.
