It is known that India produces the highest number of films per year, in the whole world. Among them, Telugu films always command a very good share. Due to the lockdowns, 2020 and 2021 were big disappointments but this year it’s entirely different.
Tollywood has had the highest number of movie releases than any year in history, with nearly 297 films released in 2022. This also includes dubbed versions.
In the last decade, the year 2013 had 270 releases, 2019 had 269 releases and now it stands almost close to 300. There were pending films in 2021 that finally saw the light this year. More the number of films, more is the work generated year-round for actors and other technicians involved in 24 frames. It’s considered a good omen for the industry.
