Ahead of the release of 'Rathnam' in theatres on April 26, the makers of the action drama spoke of the film's highlights at an event. Vishal and others graced the event.
Speaking on the occasion, distributor Satish expressed his delight over acquiring the rights to the movie for the Telugu States. "Vishal sir’s movies connect well with the audience. 'Rathnam' has director Hari’s trademark action and emotions in ample measure. Besides a racy screenplay, you can also expect strong content in the movie," he added.
Actor Vishal said that he has been advised to limit outdoor promotions since he has got multiple stitches on his body. "This is my third film with director Hari, the first two being 'Pooja' and 'Bharani'. 'Rathnam' is a perfect family entertainer with excellent action episodes. 'Mark Anthony' was a Rs 100 Cr film. My expectations from 'Rathnam' are buoyant. I got to work with Devi Sri Prasad for the first time. He provided wonderful music, and his background music will stand out," Vishal added.
The hero also spoke of the "strong characterizations for heroines" in Hari's movies. "There will be a shock factor just 30 minutes into the movie. It’s a turning point and a USP of the movie," he said.
Priya Bhavani Shankar is the heroine. The film also stars Samuthirakani, comedian Yogi Babu, and Gautam Vasudev Menon.
