Many years ago, Rajendra Prasad reinvented himself with 'Aa Naluguru', a family drama that had him in the role of a kind-hearted middle-aged man. In 'Sarangadhariya', it is the turn of Raja Ravindra to reinvent himself. Having played negative and character roles over many years, the actor is now essaying the father to three grown-ups.
Saija Creations' Umadevi and Sarath Chandra have brought out the film's teaser which shows that director Padmarao Abbisetti is out to tell a true-blue emotional tale involving the average urban middle-class family.
Raja Ravindra goes through the biggest crisis of his life when his two young sons (who are in love) and his 20-something daughter apparently bring trouble to the family. As a middle-class man to whom social image in his circle is paramount, he is distraught. M Ebenezer Paul's background score is expected to dramatize his situation.
The family drama also features Sreekanth Iyengar, Siva Chandu, Yashaswini, Moin, Mohith, Neela Priya, Kadambari Kiran and others. Siddhartha Swayambhoo and Rakesh Reddy have respectively shot and edited 'Sarangadhariya'.
At a time when comedy capers and thrillers are what mid-range movies are all about, this film must offer a whiff of fresh air.
