'Operation Valentine' is about what made Balakot airstrike successful: Varun Tej

Actor Varun Tej is confident that 'Operation Valentine' is going to have a very good release in Hindi. The film is distributed by Sony Pictures, which has a strong network in the Hindi belt. The thriller, directed by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, will hit the screens in Telugu and Hindi on March 1.

In his latest interview, the 'F3' actor suggests that the film's detailing is going to wow the audience. The director didn't make the film without understanding what it takes to make an aerial actioner based on India's retaliatory action against Pakistan after the Pulwama Attack on February 14, 2019.

The 'Ghani' actor feels that unlike his unsuccessful action thriller 'Gandeevadhari Arjuna', 'Operation Valentine' will keep the audience invested in the journey of the protagonist, Rudra. The 2019 clash between India and Pakistan was a rare high-stakes event. And 'Operation Valentine', whose music is by Mickey J Meyer, understands the gravity of the issue. "Shakti's research says it all. His short film, released a few years ago, was detailed. A couple of Indian Air Force officials got in touch with Shakti and assured him of help with further research if he ever were to make a feature film. And they extended the fullest support for our movie. I got to learn the basics of operating a flight for a week. It helped me with visualization and imagination on the sets of the film, especially given that VFX has been used extensively," Varun Tej says.

The shoot of 'Operation Valentine' was completed before Varun got married last year. The 'Fidaa' actor suggests that he kept himself undistracted for six months when the film was in the making in 2023.
