YSRCP shames TDP over opposition to suspending 'Rajadhani Files'

The YSRCP government has been accused of using the police force in Andhra Pradesh to disrupt the screenings of 'Rajadhani Files', a political propaganda film that was released on Friday. The film received a lukewarm response upon its release in theatres on Thursday before the court's order shut it out of theatres permanently.

With the TDP alleging that the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government has been wrong in using the police to disrupt the film's screenings in AP, the ruling party clarified that the administration had only implemented the court orders. "The government has taken those steps as per the order given by the court to stop the film, which was made in a way that could trigger hatred and incitement among the people and tension between different regions. No system will tolerate conspiracies that make films for self-interest and poison the minds of people. In this State, no one is afraid of the screams of a dog like you," the YSRCP's official social media handles said.

The ruling party ended the social media counter with a 'EndOfTDP' hashtag.

There can be no quarrel with any administrative decision that implements court orders. If the orders of a court are not implemented, it would tantamount to contempt.
