Vishwak Sen's 'Gaami': Release date made official!

UV Creations today revealed that 'Gaami', starring Vishwak Sen as an Aghora named Shankar, will hit the screens on March 8. Directed by Vidyadhar Kagita and produced by Karthik Kult Kreations, the film is presented by V Celluloid.

'Gaami' was shot in crowded holy places such as Varanasi. A scene in the backdrop of the Kumbh Mela, a ritual congregation, is also included. "We shot the film in really tough terrain. There is a six-minute-long take in the film. That and other such scenes will give the audience a new experience," the makers said.

Speaking today at an event in Hyderabad, Vishwak Sen said that the film is the result of deep research and detailed character sketches. "The story is dense. More than money, time is the real investment we have made in this film. The quality of CG is so nice. When I was clad in the get-up of an Aghora during the Kumbh Mela schedule, a couple of individuals gave me alms believing that I was a real Aghora," Sen added.

Producer Karthik Sabareesh said, "The project was started sometime in 2018. This is a crowd-funded film modelled on 'Manu' (2018). Director Vidyadhar and I collaborated on short films in the past. This feature film collaboration is so exciting," he added.

The film is a human story and not a religious or spiritual one. It is only incidental that the male lead is a Sadhu-like pious person.

With Chandini Chowdary as the leading lady, 'Gaami' also features MG Abhinaya, Harika Pedada, and Mohammad Samad. The cinematography is by Vishwanath Reddy and Rampy Nandigam. The music is by Naresh Kumaran.
