The makers of 'Patang' today put out a poster marking Sankranthi. The sports comedy-drama, director Praneeth Prattipati, is set against the thrilling backdrop of kite flying competitions. Touted to be a high-flying adventure, the film will hit the screens in Summer this year. Instagram sensation Preethi Pagadala, Zee Saregama runner-up Pranav Kaushik, and Vamsi Pujit are playing the lead roles.
Cinematic Elements and Rishaan Cinemas said that 'Patang' is the first film in Indian cinema coming with a Kite-flying contest as the backdrop. "Our film is high on humor. The Secunderabad basthi forms the backdrop," the makers added. Besides being simple, the film will also feature a peppy song. The climax is going to be huge.
Singer SP Charan, the talented son of late SPB, is making a comeback with this film in a key role. '30 Weds 21' fame Jose Jimmy is composing the music.
