'HanuMan' has divine force backing it: Teja Sajja

Teja Sajja is stunned by how well 'HanuMan' is doing at the ticket counters. The film took a terrific start at the Telugu box office. In Hindi, it made more than what 'Kartikeya 2' did in 2022. The superhero comedy is expected to grow in size in Hindi in the coming days. In Telugu, it is set to post roaring numbers.

In his latest interview, actor Teja Sajja attributes the euphoric reception to "divine power". "I feel this was destined to happen. I am told the theatrical experience during some scenes is morphing into religious fervour in theatres," Teja Sajja says.

The actor made sacrifices so that he could completely focus on this one project for more than two years. "Without exaggeration, I could have done six or seven decent projects in that period. My focus was on 'HanuMan'," the 'Zombie Reddy' actor says.

Director Prasanth Varma is planning his next as 'Jai Hanuman', which will be a 2025 release. Teja says that the film could be a sequel but he says that's not certain. It is a cinematic universe film.

Produced by K Niranjan Reddy, 'HanuMan' was supposedly made on a budget of Rs 30 Cr but the publicity and landing costs were high.
