'Saindhav': Venkatesh counts on father-daughter sentiment

'Saindhav' is presumably this festive season's most emotional film. The intensity has been dialed up to eleven if Victory Venkatesh's latest interview is anything to go by. The senior actor chose the action drama after holding informal conversations with director Sailesh Kolanu a few times. They then hit it off once the storyline was prepared.

"The intensely emotional nature of the climax and the father-daughter segments will surely stand out," Venkatesh says with total confidence. As SaiKo, he courageously confronts Nawazuddin Siddiqui's mafia in a fictional coastal town named Chandraprastha. Baby Sara has played his onscreen daughter.

The high-stakes clash between the hero and his antagonist doesn't mean that the film's action sequences will defy physics at every single opportunity. Venkatesh suggests that no fight is unwarranted and that they have been kept realistic wherever possible. Also, the film's pacing is breakneck. At 144 minutes or so, this is shorter than many big-ticket films in recent times.

Venky says that he has always maintained a distance from controversies despite being an actor for more than 35 years. Sounding philosophical, he adds that he is always open to receiving the energies the Universe has to offer.

'Saindhav', produced by Niharika Entertainment, will hit the screens on January 13.
