'HanuMan' has me as a loving sister: Varalaxmi Sarathkumar

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is delighted that, after 'Krack' and 'Veera Simha Reddy', 'HanuMan' is her third Sankranthi release in Telugu. Calling it a blessed coincidence, the 'Naandhi' actress has talked about her character in the Prasanth Varma directorial in her latest interview.

"In 'HanuMan', I play a doting sister who participates in an action block. I share screen space with Teja Sajja and our banter will be found to be cute," says Varalaxmi, who has been living in Hyderabad for the past 2.5 years.

'HanuMan', directed by Prasanth Varma, will hit the screens on January 12. Varalaxmi is aware that the superhero movie's paid premieres in the Telugu States on January 11 evening are going to be hugely successful. "Producers like Niranjan Reddy create better directors. Hats off to him for believing in the project. He was not hard and fast on the budget," she adds.

"Content is the king nowadays," she ponders, suggesting that she plays uniquely etched negative roles. "In the present generation, I am the only female actor to be playing such villainous roles," Varalaxmi says, making sure to repeat that she respects her craft a lot. "My father (senior Tamil hero-politician Sarathkumar) watches each of my movies. After watching the recent 'Kota Bommali PS', he didn't make any negative comment," she says.
