Mystery man trying to halt the release of 'Hanu-Man'

'Hanu-Man' will hit the screens on January 12, 2024. In his latest interview, director Prasanth Varma said that a mystery man (someone who is influential in the Telugu film industry) has been trying his best to halt the film's release.

"We came to know that someone tried to stall the censor formalities. Thanks to the goodwill I have accumulated over the years, we circumvented all the hurdles. I have done Ads for the police department. I have done other things in my career as a filmmaker. All this has been of use," Varma said.

When the interviewer tried to push him to name the mystery man, Varma said, "I leave it to your imagination." In another interview, he said that the makers of 'Hanu-Man' have received threats. The film will clash with 'Guntur Kaaram', 'Eagle', 'Saindhav' and 'Naa Saami Ranga' for Sankranthi.

'Hanu-Man' is a pan-Indian and international release (the film will be released in English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese and Korean as well). Starring Teja Sajja and Vinay Rai as the hero and villain, respectively, the film features Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Amritha Aiyer and others. Producer Niranjan Reddy recently said that the initial budget was X and the final budget was 4X. 'Hanu-Man' will be released in 1500 theatres in Hindi.
