'Hanu-Man' makers adopt a 'wait and watch' approach

There is this talk that 'Hanu-Man' is eventually going to vacate the Sankranthi space. As of now, the pan-Indian superhero movie is slated to hit the screens on January 12, 2024. If there is no change in its date, it will be released on the same date as Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Kaaram'.

Dil Raju recently asked the makers of the film to postpone the release of their film to Republic Day or later, considering 'Guntur Kaaram', 'Saindhav', 'Naa Saami Ranga' and 'Eagle' are going to be released in the second week of January. All these films feature star heroes. 'Hanu-Man' stars Teja Sajja, a non-star hero.

The makers of 'Hanu-Man' might postpone the film if they are told by distributors that the buzz around their film is not strong. The buzz has to be stronger than what 'Saindhav' and 'Naa Saami Ranga' enjoy. Only then will it be able to survive and generate decent openings aimd the heavy competition. It is a given that 'Hanu-Man' won't match the buzz around 'Eagle'.

'Hanu-Man' is also going to be dubbed in English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. The film is also the first installment of a cinematic universe pioneered by Prasanth Varma.
