Prabhas' latest outing 'Salaar' will have a second part titled 'Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryaanga Parvam'. Although Prabhas' fans hope that the film goes on the floors in 2024, Hombale Films will wait to see how big 'Salaar: Part 1' is going to be in the Hindi belt. The film's success in Telugu is just one factor that will decide the budget of the second part.
If 'Salaar' becomes an average box-office grosser in Hindi, the budget of 'Salaar 2' will be less than extravagant. The success of 'Salaar' in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada is not a foregone conclusion. The talk is mixed in Hindi and the competition from 'Dunki' can't be discounted for now.
Hombale Films is waiting for the picture to become clear. The situation will be there for a dispassionate analysis the next Tuesday after the first Monday's figures come out.
