'Salaar', which is helmed by Prashanth Neel and headlined by actor Prabhas, is produced by Hombale Films. The production house has upped the publicity game after rumours surfaced that it won't hit the screens on December 22.
On Monday, the banner proudly stated that Mollywood hero Prithviraj Sukumaran (who is playing a pivotal role in the movie) will be distributing 'Salaar' in Kerala.
There has been an attempt to communicate to all distributors that a postponement is ruled out. Nizam distributors Mythri Movie Makers, Hindi version's distributors (AA Films), Tamil Nadu distributors Red Giant Movies (also producing Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' and 'Thug Life'), and Pharms Film Co. LLC (Overseas distributors) have been conveyed about the confirmed date.
The film, produced on a humongous budget, stars Shruti Haasan as the heroine. Jagapathi Babu and others are part of the cast. Ravi Basrur is its music director. 'Salaar' will have a second part.
Meanwhile, Prabhas' 'Kalki 2898 AD' is in the news over the launch of a new publicity campaign named 'Repati Kosam'.
